Introduction to the Texins Sailing Club

AHOY and WELCOME!! The purpose of this web site is to provide information to members and potential members about the Texins Sailing Club. (HOPEFULLY YOU!)

1. The purpose of the Texins Sailing Club (TSC) is to organize TIers and their families who have a common interest in the sport of sailing.

2. Among TIers and their families, TSC has identified five target areas to support. They are as follows:
   TRAINING: TSC conducts training sessions both in the classroom and on the water. Basic course objectives include: Good Seamanship, Nautical Terminology, and Small Boat Handling.

   RENTALS: TSC has a fleet of sailboats for rent to those who can demonstrate basic skills in small boat handling.

   RACING: TSC can put you in touch with Dallas area skippers in need of crew members.

   CRUISING: Through TSC, you can be put in touch with members who have a great deal of experience in cruising and anchoring in Dallas area lakes.

   CHARTERING: Through TSC, you can be put in touch with members who have experience in chartering.

3. In addition to the above services, TSC's administration includes:

   Sailing Promotion

   Boat/Trailer Responsibility

   General Administration
